G26 is a subcompact version of the standard size G17 which fires the same round as G17 and introduced in 1995, mainly for civilian market. It comes with a smaller frame, a shorter barrel and slide, and a double-stack magazine with 10 rds capacity. It can share the same mags that G19 and G17 used, even the long mag for G18C.
The “C” means “Compensated model” in the real steel G series which the slide and barrel comes with incorporated slots cut to compensate for muzzle rise and recoil. Many other G Series Pistols come with this option will have a “C” suffix on the slide.
G26C Advance's design is based on the G33AV used by Batou in the TV anime “Ghost in the Shell SAC”.
