Built on the frame of the Mk.1 pistol, the Mk.1 Carbine has the power and range to put it well into the sniper rifle category while only weighing just under 3 lbs and is shorter than a M4.
Construction: The Mk.1 Carbine is light weight yet feels extremely solid as it is light by design and not from lack of quality. The skeleton stock is reinforced composite while the frame and foregrip are heavy duty ABS plastic. All the internals are made out of metal as well as the barrel and upper receiver. This is the latest version of the Mk.1 so it has the metal hop up housing instead of the weaker plastic housing used in previous versions. The receiver has a weaver rail for mounting a red dot sight or scope. The rifle is also fitted with iron sights. The rear sight is fully adjustable for windage and elevation.
Performance: Holding the record of the highest velocity of any airsoft gun we have chronographed to date, the Mk.1 Carbine achieved a scorching 638 fps w/ KSC .2g and Xtreme gas. Obviously at this velocity one should be extra cautious as to what is behind your target in the event that you miss as the BB will probably not stop until it reaches the next county.
A unique feature of the Mk.1 is that it can use practically any type of gas. This way you can change the velocity of the gun by simply putting in a different type of gas so it can be used for anything from skirmishing to eliminating soup cans at long range (which we all know are tougher and more mean tempered than your average soda can). Using a .2g BB, 134a gas averages 350 fps, Propane 500 fps and Xtreme 600+ fps. For best accuracy we suggest using High Polished .25g to .3g BBs
